The 6th Annual Australian Smart Lighting Summit was held on the 11th and 12th September 2018 at the Melbourne Convention Centre. Attended by upwards of 200 delegates, comprised of industry leaders, designers, engineers, consultants, manufacturers, suppliers and government officials, this year’s event proved to be our biggest and best yet.

Ian Dryden Principal - Industrial Design at the City of Melbourne opened the two-day event with a Melbourne update, and later ended day one of the event with an eye-opening City Lights Tour. Dryden returned on Wednesday to participate in the day’s two panel discussions.

Highly anticipated international speaker James Quigley, Senior Street Lighting Engineer for the Bureau of Street Lighting at the City of Los Angeles was unfortunately unable to attend after falling ill just days before the event.

Recognising excellence and innovation in lighting 3rd Annual Delegate Choice Awards crowned two winners this year; Winning Category One: Most Innovative Product Award was Nikkon for their product the Intelligent Light Control System (iLCS) and winning Category Two: Best Design Award was Ligman Lighting with their product Vancouver.

The 6th Annual Australian Smart Lighting Summit was a huge success with its high calibre of speakers and attendees and we look forward to the 7th edition in August 2019.
